WhatsApp Business API

Let customers WhatsApp your office number, with no new phone and no new number.

Many of your customers prefer WhatsApp for sending photos, locations and quick questions. We activate the official WhatsApp Business API directly on your existing office landline. No cell phone, no new number: customers message your familiar office number on WhatsApp, and every message flows into your MomentumOS inbox.

The revenue leak

Your customers are on WhatsApp. Your office number isn't.

For many customers, WhatsApp is the easiest way to send a photo of the problem, a pin for the location or a quick question. When your business only takes calls and texts, they go hunting for someone's mobile number, or find a business that's on WhatsApp.

WhatsApp Business normally verifies a number with a text message, which a landline can't receive. Meta's voice-call verification gets around that, so your office number can be your WhatsApp number.

No new numberYour landline, on WhatsApp.

Customers message the number they already know, and conversations sit in the same inbox as your texts and webchat leads.

How it works

The landline verification workflow.

It takes one short window with someone at the office phone. We guide you through it live.

01

Pre-checks

Your number can't already be registered on WhatsApp (an existing account has to be deleted first), and it must accept calls from international numbers, because Meta's verification call may come from one.

02

Bypass your phone menu

Meta's automated call can't navigate an IVR (“Press 1 for sales”). For a 5 to 10 minute window, your calls ring straight through to a handset.

03

Answer and capture the PIN

Meta calls your landline and reads out a 6-digit code. Your staff enter it into MomentumOS to complete the connection.

04

Restore and go live

Your phone system goes straight back to its normal setup, and WhatsApp messages start arriving in your unified inbox.

Good to know

Straight answers.

Do I need a smartphone or a new number?

No. WhatsApp runs on your existing office landline, and your team answers in the MomentumOS inbox on the app or desktop.

What if my number is already on WhatsApp?

It has to be removed from that WhatsApp account first. We walk you through it before verification.

What are Meta's messaging charges?

Meta charges businesses for certain WhatsApp messages, at rates that depend on the message type and the customer's country. They're passed through to your usage account and shown in your reporting.

We have an automated phone menu. Is that a problem?

Only for the 5 to 10 minutes of verification. Calls need to ring straight to a person while Meta's call comes in, then your menu goes straight back on.
